Maggiano’s Little Italy- Overview
Maggiano’s Little Italy is an informal restaurant that offers Italian cuisine in the United States. The restaurant offers large portions of traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine and family-style dining. Maggiano’s was created to give customers the feeling of extended family dining at their grandmother’s home for Sunday dinner. The restaurant’s delicious signature dishes were created from recipes that were inspired by Italian grandmothers and mothers. Every customer is given first-hand hospitality in the establishment. The outlet is appropriate for intimate dinners, large family and special occasions. Full-service on food is offered in a fun and energetic environment. Pre-war Italy led to the kind of design of banquet halls and dining rooms. The restaurant offers typical Italian-American food and professional service. Over time, the restaurant has the recognition as one of America’s finest Italian-American restaurants.
The History of Maggiano’s Little Italy
Chicago, Illinois was where the first Maggiano’s restaurant opened on November 11, 1991. To expand LEYE’s Italian section, Richard Melman, from Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc. (LEYE), opened the first Maggiano restaurant. LEYE had a vision to “recreate the pre-World War II dinner house with family-sized portions.” The first LEYE location was opened at the corner of Clark Street and Grand Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. It was a success from the beginning. The success of the first restaurant led to the opening of a second location in Oak Brook.
Skokie, Illinois was where the third location opened two years later. The company expanded outside of Illinois in 1994. A fourth location opened in McLean, Virginia, at Tyson’s Corner Galleria II. This location was very successful and took off. This success proved that the establishment could be a great success at the national level. Brinker International, Inc. acquired the establishment in 1995 from Richard Melman, of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc. However, there are still three locations that continue to be part of the LEYE frequent-diner and gift card programs.
Afterwards, Brinker International, Inc. grew the restaurant to have an additional four locations. Presently there are 50 locations in the country. These states are Texas, California, Maryland, Georgia, Indiana, Arizona, Washington, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Ohio, and Virginia. Washington. Wisconsin. This restaurant maintains very successful and increased growth in popularity over the years.
The restaurant strives for authentic Italian-American cuisine. The restaurant welcomes customers with Frank Sinatra songs. Every day fresh gladiolas are delivered to the restaurants. Delicious Italian food is prepared, served and accompanied by a wide selection of wines. Maggiano’s and Make a Wish Foundation partnered to aid children with life-threatening medical conditions. The 20th anniversary of the restaurant was celebrated on November 11, 2011. The Anniversary at its original location in Chicago, at the corner of Clark Street & Grand Avenue.

Maggiano’s Little Italy Honest Review
The food cooked by Maggiano’s is always fresh. Maggiano’s offers lunch and dinner. The restaurant starts operation between 11:30 a.m and 10 p.m on Sundays, Fridays, and Saturdays. It closes at noon on Saturdays. Their activities depend on the location. There are separate delivery and take-out menus. This restaurant is ideal for special occasions. The restaurant has banquet halls and dining halls that can be booked for weddings, bar mitzvahs or corporate events. These special occasions can be arranged for by a different banquet menu.
